What is the other half, you ask? The other half is learning the difference between unsecured and secured debts. In order to consolidate unsecured debts, you first have to learn what unsecured really means. That is today's lecture.

What Does Unsecured Mean?
For the most part, unsecured debt is the common kind of debt that we all have. If any of the following look familiar, it is because thet fall under the branch of unsecured, and they are very common:

credit card bills
student loans
medical bills
personal loans
department store bills

Sound pretty common, don't they? The only other thing you need to know about unsecured debts is that they are debts that have no collateral. There have no specified assets other than a promise to pay. Finally! How does it feel to complete the second half of the puzzle? Now we know what it means to consolidate debt and we know what unsecured debt is. Hmm... Now that we know that much, I am sure we could explain how to consolidate unsecured debts.

Consolidate Unsecured Debts
When you consolidate unsecured debts, you can expect four very important things. Number one, you can expect to lower the payments on your debt by more than 50%.
