Debt
Debt doesn't have to ruin your life. Find out how to get out and stay out.
Debt- Break It Down
Tony Robbins, through his big teeth and using his mammoth ham-hands for emphasis, has said, "A real decision is measured by the fact that you've taken new action. If there's no action, you haven't truly decided." Similarly, are you dedicated to denying your debt the privilege of ruling your life? You know, the fight against debt does not have to be a dead-end street. Get off the mean streets of debt. Get thee to a homeless shelter.
There are places you can go to and people you can meet up with who can give you sound advice at dealing with a debt situation that has gotten out of hand. Like the YMCA, these people will feed you and get your clean. Don't deny yourself debt relief. Scour the Internet for sources. Don't get distracted by the adult sites. It's a virtual playground for the debt free industry. Debt is the Number One killer of many of our dreams and goals. It is difficult to get anywhere without the proper funding; without access to a positive cash flow. Much of the acquisition of new skills and trade takes financing. How can we do this if we're perpetually stuck on the ground?
Debt - Committed, Decided and Conviction
The thing is, to get anywhere in todays world takes a committed decision and a solid conviction to stick with it. Commit yourself to the greatest cause there is: yours. No one else will do it for you. Part of the potential to grow and succeed includes a willingness to keep eyes and ears open to opportunity, so as to avoid missing them when they come along. Open your mind to debt help. The problem many of us have is, put plainly, we simply don't trust this industry. You may have heard about someone you know being taken advantage of or you may not trust the television advertisements and their hard-sell guarantees for 'miracle cures,' et cetera.
The Importance of Debt
What is important to remember here is that, just like any other industry in the world of free enterprise, there will be good guys and bad guys. The same can be said of the debt reduction sector. You could join the dark side and haggle with harassing creditors, or you could join the force and befriend a debt settlement specialist. But, what you can do to prevent aligning forces with one of the bad guys, is, you can research the company in advance and increase your awareness of warnings or signs of ethical procedures. The credit card debt company with your best interest at heart will have certified counselors. Their debt management program may have third-party accreditation; will be bonded and will have a traceable history of positive press. Check them out first. Another way of ensuring you'll be taken care of is through feedback you can request from the banking industry and financial institutions. Go right to the source; especially considering the company you partner up with will be negotiating deals with your lenders through many of their programs, including debt consolidation programs. Dig it.
Debt Communication
Communication is essential. Contact your creditors and lenders. Tell them that you've been struggling with your payments for such-and-such a reason(s). Tell them you're considering a plan to consolidate debt and you're thinking of Company X. What are their thoughts on Company X and are they respected and trusted in the industry? This way, you can't lose. You may end up handling the negotiating yourself, once your creditors catch on to the dedication you have in assuming responsibility for your debt.
Another opportunity to advance your cause is provided through debt counseling. Your certified debt counselor can give you insiders' advice and information that you may not otherwise have had access to. Additionally, your debt counselor can recommend the right type of debt repayment program for you after a careful analysis of your financial profile and debt-to-income ratio minus the APR plus the fixed interest and divided by the monthly minimum.
